Positivity at Work - Overview and Gratitude Session
It's with great excitement that CTG invites you to a complimentary Positivity at Work Overview and Gratitude Session on Wednesday October 14th at our office in Iselin. We will be running the session twice from 9:00am to 11:30am and then again from 1:00pm to 3:30pm. This program was developed by a team of graduates of the Masters of Applied Positive Psychology program (MAPP) at the University of Pennsylvania and the client reviews have been absolutely amazing. Positivity is the feeling of optimism about life and the future. It is more than just managing to get through the meeting or the day; it is the ability to thrive under many different circumstances.
Over the last 10 years, many theories on positivity have been proposed and tested. Two important conclusions have emerged out of this growing body of knowledge.
- First, positivity doesn't just feel good. The benefits extend to all areas of our lives
- Second, positivity can be increased through intentional behaviors that everyone can learn and act on
The Positivity at Work series is organized around 8 core lessons. These lessons will be delivered in 2-3 hour increments: Gratitude, Character Strengths, Engagement, Positive Relationships, Meaning and Purpose, Motivation, Resilience, and Positive Emotions. During the session, you will get a short preview of each of the 8 core lessons and have the opportunity to experience Lesson One: Gratitude.
The main objectives of the Gratitude lesson are to define what Gratitude actually is, explore the benefits of adding more gratitude to your work and life, discuss the downside of Gratitude and recognize that it is not as simple as saying, “Thank you.” We will also brainstorm applications and actionable ways to increase the level of Gratitude at work.
