Course 2273:Instructor-led via Distance Learning

Elements of this syllabus are subject to change.

This Distance Learning version of the course combines 10 online live sessions over 5 weeks of instructor-led training with additional self-paced e-learning content, scenario-based labs, and assessments to provide students with the knowledge and skills that are required to manage accounts and resources, maintain server resources, monitor server performance, and safeguard data in a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment.

This is the first course in the Systems Administrator and Systems Engineer tracks for Windows Server 2003 and serves as the entry point for other courses in the Windows Server 2003 curriculum.

This course is also offered as 8 weeks of Distance Learning training (as two courses) for students who prefer a complete training experience, or as classroom training of the same course numbers:

· 2274CL: Managing a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment (5 weeks online or 5 days in class)

· 2275CL: Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment (3 weeks online or 3 days in class)

This course is intended for individuals who are employed as or seeking employment as a systems administrator or systems engineer.

This module explains how to administer accounts and resources on computers running Windows Server 2003 software in a networked environment.

This module also explains how to use WSUS to manage and distribute critical software updates that resolve known security vulnerabilities and other stability issues.
